Being a trailblazer takes on a whole new meaning as Martel College freshman Elle Eccles and Wiess College junior Henry Gorman both show how to perfectly execute the classic blazer. Eccles gives a youthful perspective to a mature, business-appropriate navy blazer by pairing it with a plaid skirt and simple accessories. By adding the blazer, she demonstrates her personal style in an updated yet classic way. The simple bow on the skirt gives a feminine touch to the structured staple. With her ballet flats and basic white shirt staying within the same color palette as her blazer, she allows the other elements of her look to seamlessly blend into her outfit.

Trends on Campus: Adeptly Adapting Wedges to Autumn

When asked where she purchased her head-turning heels, Duncan College freshman Christina Coravos revealed she picked them up while shopping in Greece. To wear European fashion pieces of such quality for just one season would be to do them injustice. As such, Coravos took her wedges --- staples for the spring season --- and made them appropriate for fall. By wearing a black top and accessories, Coravos incorporated a darker color palette to the bold, brighter hues. Many people worry that they will have to sacrifice their brighter outfits for a subdued look, but with some creative combinations, spring colors can easily come into the fall season. When curious on what to combine with those bold colors, try pairing the item with something that is a shade darker. By combining a bright red skirt with a braided belt containing orange, hunter green, and brown, you'll adapt a spring look into autumn. White  and black are always strong complements for any outfit, and by Coravos combining the patent white wedges with the black top, she unites fall and spring pieces seamlessly.
