Esperanza tickets all claimed in 11 hours
All 1600 tickets for Esperanza were claimed in just over 11 hours, according to a Facebook post by the Rice Program Council.
To be held in the downtown Hyatt Regency Houston hotel, this year's dance had 80% of its tickets sold within the first 15 minutes, RPC External Vice President Jodie Nghiem said.
Previous RPC President Aisha Jeeva (Martel '15) said in an article last year that it took 16 days to sell out the fall formal in 2013, and 20 days in 2012. Last year's ticket sales were plagued by technical issues as the purchasing site repeatedly crashed under heavy traffic.
