More fond farewells
We'd like to take the time to say a special goodbye to some seniors of our own. We're grateful to these Thresher staffers for sticking it out for four long years and helping our paper earn All-American and Best in Show rankings year after year.We wish the best to senior editor Catherine Bratic, who was always willing to do a little bit extra for the Thresher, whether it was going for a Whursday night dessert run or verifying the facts for an article. Catherine's attention to detail and talent for writing made her a valuable member of our staff. We'll miss her passion for French and food (and French food). Bonne chance!
We're also grateful for Sarah Rutledge's work as a senior editor this year. Without Sarah we all would have gone hungry during meetings and former Thresher editor in chief Casey Michel would have made the paper a weekly Mariners report. But in all seriousness, Sarah's diligence, expertise and support during Whursday nights at the Thresher office will be truly missed. We promise to play "Bulletproof" one more time, just for you.
We will miss Eric Doctor and his incredible design work. His creativity, willingness to help others and enthusiasm to never quit until his work was more than perfect were always great assets in the office. We will also miss his unparalleled typography wisdom and his patience for those who did not share his passion. We'll never ignorantly question the value of a serif versus sans-serif typeface again.
Rose Cahalan, one of our head copy editors, always added an Argentinian flair to our "copy cave." Her enthusiasm for AP style and kindness to everyone will be missed.
Lauren Schoeffler and Ariel Shnitzer, our graduating photo editors, were both valuable members of the staff. Not only did they take and edit great photos, but they also contributed in other important ways around the office, whether it was offering a well-spoken argument during a staff meeting or sharing a joke when the night was no longer young.
We appreciate Jessie Huang, who helped with the business side of things and never grew impatient with the editorial staff.
We are also grateful to Sergio Jaramillo, one of our distribution managers, for doing whatever it took during the late hours of Thursday nights to get a fresh Thresher into everyone's hands each week.

Review: 'Adults' couldn’t have matured better
Sitcoms are back, and they’re actually funny. FX’s “Adults” is an original comedy following a friend group navigating New York and what it means to be an “actual adult.” From ever-mounting medical bills to chaotic dinner parties, the group attempts to tackle this new stage of life together, only to be met with varying levels of success.
