Online Comment of the Week
In response to "Slavery still a prominent practice in U.S.," April 23:Thank you for this story. Last weekend I met numerous people from Austin, including students from Austin Fair Food, at the Coalition of Immokalee Workers' Farmworker Freedom March from Tampa to Lakeland, Fla. I posted this story, which I hope you will share, last week: http://tinyurl.com/3y2qjtx.
My title is a reference to a great documentary film from 50 years ago, done by Edward R. Murrow, called "Harvest of Shame."
My article also will be at www.socialistworker.org later this week. I've supported CIW for eight years and the campaign is growing as more and more retailers are being pushed to dissociate from unethical labor practices in the fields and to support CIW's call for decent wages and adherence to a very reasonable code of conduct. Glad to know Rice is ramping it up, too.

Review: 'Adults' couldn’t have matured better
Sitcoms are back, and they’re actually funny. FX’s “Adults” is an original comedy following a friend group navigating New York and what it means to be an “actual adult.” From ever-mounting medical bills to chaotic dinner parties, the group attempts to tackle this new stage of life together, only to be met with varying levels of success.
