"Yankees and Phillies will meet. You can't mess with Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee, and the spending has to pay off for the Yankees some year ... right?"
Jonathan Myers Assistant Sports Editor | "Mariners. Refuse to Lose. Plus, if it's Griffey's last year, he deserves it. (But seriously, it will be the Yankees and Dodgers. Too much pitching with the Stanks, too much youthful bluster with the Blue Crew. Clayton Kershaw will K up A-Rod to seal LA's first World Series in 21 years.)"

"The Yankees will make it as long as the rest of their starters besides Sabathia can hold it together. As for the NL, Joe Torre will get his Dodgers to the Series for the chance at the ultimate payback for Steinbrenner's firing him."
Natalie Clericuzio Sports Editor | "Bud Selig probably knows."

This moment may be unprecedented — Rice falling short is not
In many ways, the current landscape of American higher education is unprecedented. Sweeping cuts to federal research funding, overt government efforts to control academic departments and censor campus protests and arbitrary arrests and visa revocations have rightly been criticized as ushering in the latest iteration of fascism.
