In my time at Rice, I've worked relentlessly to better our university and make it a more welcoming place. As SA President, I will empower student leaders, enact change, and work to make the SA more accessible to all students.

What I've Done:

Undocumented Student Advocacy

Chair of Undocumented Student Support Services Working Group & Task Force
Launched daca.rice.edu
Wrote and mobilized student support for the resolution to support the DREAM Act

Initiatives to Improve Undergraduate Experience

Hosted International Student Forum
Proposed Economic Accessibility Seminar Task Force
Co-creator of Undergraduate Exploration & Autonomy Working Group

What I'll Do:

Support Students

Enact working group recommendations to support DACA students
Increase international student engagement with the SA & support the newly-made International Student Association
Ensure that students/employees with recently removed Temporary Protected Statuses receive reliable information on next steps

Support Student Initiatives

Create a crisis management certificate program
Help increase the accessibility of STI tests
Support legislation & initiatives by non-voting members

Decrease Red Tape

Ensure that Senate meetings are well-publicized
Create open pathways for students to reach SA leadership via office hours and use of the SA Facebook
Decrease number of bureaucratic obstacles in the SA by empowering student leaders, especially NSRs, and holding legislation-writing workshops

At the end of the day, I'm running to be SA President because I believe in my ideas, and yours. Together, we can make Rice a more welcoming and friendly place for everyone.
