Jones College sophomore Alex Amari speaks at the Rice Students for Bernie Kickoff, introducing the club to interested students to encourage support for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign. Amari said he believes the group can fight campus political apathy.

Will Rice senior Jacob Gorman performs in his band Fire Alarm. KTRU held its 24th annual outdoor show on Saturday, April 11, and featured artists from all over the Houston community. The free concert lasted from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and drew students and community members to the central quad.

Junior quarterback Driphus Jackson throws a pass during a 41-21 victory over the University of North Texas. Jackson went 13-26 for 233 yards, including an 88-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Jordan Taylor on the first play of the game. The Owls are now 4-3 on the season and look to win their fifth-straight game against Florida International University on Saturday, Nov. 1.
